bhang lassi - anyone tried it? impossible to get in the US?

I enjoy lassi with my indian food and recently found out about something, er, special called bhang lassi. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and whether or not one has to be India to do so.

Well, I now know that you can't google it at my workplace, though whether it's due to the likely illegality of the substance or some concern that the search term sounds like something twisted you'd do with Fido, I'm not sure.

My bet would be on its not being available here.

Lassi is a traditional beverage originating in India that is made by blending yogurt with water, salt, and spices until frothy.

Bhang Lassi contains a liquid derivative of cannabis. This is not to be confused with "Bong" Lassi, which contains the water left over from a hookah.

In the US??? I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about ossiffer.

However, if I were to take a wild stab in the dark, planning a LH mileage run to LHE later in the year would be helpful in your quest. Be sure to visit a very famous paya restaurant called Pajjeh within the walls of the old city, in the Diamond Market district (and not the stone variety).

The waiters will be only too pleased to get you some Happy Lassi from the ice cream shop down the road to go with your meal.

Not a lassi but a drink on its own.

Typically found at religious sites for the lord shiva. :D
