Local Costco has a 12-pack of 12-oz glass bottles of Pepsi Natural for $11.99.
Ingredients list is: sparkling water, sugar, natural apple extract (color), caramel color, citric acid, caffeine, acacia gum, tartaric acid, lactic acid, natural flavor, kola nut extract. Claims to be made with all organic ingredients, and the front of the bottle says "all natural cola" and lists sparkling water, sugar (instead of HFCS), and kola nut extract as the featured ingredients. First sip was definitely something to get used to, but I'm starting to really like it now. I've never been one for regular Pepsi (I usually drink Coke or Dr Pepper). |
We have been buying Mexican Cokes at our local Costco for the past year or so. The cases they sell work out to be $.83 per bottle.
My son went to Ireland last year with his high school marching band and fell in love with Club Orange. Apparently, it is one of the most popular sodas in Ireland. I searched around to see if I could purchase it in the states. I ended up buying it by the bottle from an Irish bar in downtown Seattle. It contains real orange bits and sugar. |
I'm starting to see Pepsi Throwback more and more in the convenience stores. I actually like it. Now if they only made it without the caffeine.

I picked up some Pepsi Throwback the other day, made with sugar. I highly recommend it. It was not as astringent as I find regular Pepsi or Coke. Also, Red Bull makes a cola that is made with sugar that isn't half bad either.

Interesting..... wonder why the US dropped the real sugar.....? And perhaps most Americans don't notice the difference? Heck, half of Americans can't tell the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke... |
Currently in AMS sipping a real Coke made with sugar. Tastes great.^

My friend and I tried Red Bull Cola when it first came out... IMHO it was ok... friend thought it sucked (not sure he finished it even ) |

Heck, half of Americans can't tell the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke... There is a strong distinction between Diet & regular Coke- Now caffine or not - not sure there is a huge difference there or not... If one would put the two together - a distinction is there- Were you thinking of the Coke Zero possibly? From what I recall... That mirrors the taste of HFCS Coke... |
I was able to pick up Kosher coke in the Mayfield (Cleveland area) Costco. It wasn't labeled as such, but the ingredients list has "Sucrose" which is sugar. Rather than HFCS.
I bought two big cases of the stuff. What I really miss is the real coke in the glass bottles. I really hate drinking stuff that has been canned. |
If someone was putting sugar in MY coke, I think I'd notice and be quite upset. ;)

I got a pepsi throwback just because I could, wonderful! much better flavor. I still won't drink many sodas but nice for a single bottle at the time.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I remember seeing that people were asking where to get Mexican Coke made with sugar in the Northeast.
Yesterday afternoon (1/24/2010), at the Bethlehem, PA Wegmen's they had it on an end cap across from their deli in the foreign foods section. They were selling it by the bottle and by the case (24 bottles in a case). It comes is 355ml glass bottles that need a bottle opener. |
Pepsi has brought back the retro Pepsi + retro Mountain Dew, in old style cans/print. Also has real sugar.

HTSC But, there is a sugar made "Heritage Dr. Pepper" which you may find that try to really hold one over until s/he gets "Dublin Dr. Pepper". http://www.bevreview.com/2010/01/13/heritage-dr-pepper/ |
A lot of Mexican restaurants, especially the hole in the wall ones, in Arizona carry the Mexican Bottled Coke. Also, Food City, a grocery store that caters to Hisapnics, has it too. I get some once a month as a treat (I'm usually a Diet Coke guy).
|
Just a quick FYI, last time I stopped in New Orleans, I was at an exxon gas station store that stocked Coca Cola that was made with "louisiana cane sugar"
|
I hope no one minds the bump but I wanted to share this picture I took in Phoenix last weekend:

I've noticed it being sold all over the place now. Pepsi Throw Back is still on the shelves. I have also seen the real sugar Coke AND Pepsi sold in a lot of markets in the foreign food isles - and that is here in New England.
|
Sprite made with real sugar is great, I have only see it once in the US. It is everywhere in China.
