I'd like to recommend the teahouse of this very interesting couple, as reported in a column recently. Unfortunately I'm yet to find the name of the Sydney teahouse.

Why can't I get just one cup

Violent Femmes bass player Brian Ritchie has moved to Australia, and plans on opening a Japanese tea shop in Sydney.
While his band-mates are based in the United States, Ritchie will continue to play with the Violent Femmes when they tour.

"I will be working on music stuff here and I will continue to fly around and do gigs with the Femmes," Ritchie said in Sydney.
"I have got an apartment in Surry Hills and also I'm getting ready to build a house in Tasmania – I will have the best of both worlds, city living and country living."

Ritchie and his wife got Australian residency about six months ago but only moved to Sydney from the US last month.

Varuni Kulasekara, 50, is a Sri Lankan-born entomologist turned teahouse entrepreneur. Her husband, American Brian Ritchie, 47, plays bass for the Violent Femmes and is a shakuhachi (Japanese flute) teacher and performer. Both are Buddhists and, when not touring, divide their time between Sydney and Hobart.

I'm for

Tea Chapter in Singapore

and about 50 places in Ottawa Canada where the tea is outstanding in part because the water is so good! I enjoyed tea at the Lord Elgin Hotel.

Thanks for the info about the CabMan Shelters. I wondered if I could buy at one of those.

Hi Tea Lovers!
We had to close Chado - The Way of Tea in Surry Hills because we lost the lease. Now we are getting ready to open a tea lounge in Hobart, Tasmania. Please do come and visit if you are in Tasmania. You will not be disappointed.

While Crystal River, Florida isn't exactly a hotbed of business or pleasure travel, it has a great little tea shop.

Crystal River is on the Gulf Coast, northwest of Orlando, give or take a little.
