Had a Kozel a few weeks ago. Very good stuff, rich and light at the same time!

I'm a fan of Aventinus. Perfect warming-up in the middle-of-winter beer. Like a liquid chocolate cake. Quite an experience.

Wow, does this one take me back. College in western PA meant Beast Light, for quite some time $5.99/case at Beer-4-Less. Alas, those days are gone and it's now made its way up to $9.99/case.

These days, Amstel Light is my favorite for post-lawnmowing relaxation, while my favorite couch-surfing beer is any kind of IPA. When I get to Charlotte or Charleston, my absolute favorite is Southend Brewery's Ironman Wheat with a slice of orange.

Had a great pour tonight - Victory Pilsner - certainly nothing rare, but wow, it knocked my socks off tonight.

^ I was looking for another "Newkie Brown" fan! :D

Also (and these are widely divergent, I know):
Summit IPA, from St. Paul, about the only really good thing about the bar at the Minneapolis Hyatt
Dos Equis
Peroni Nastro Azzurro, which I have in the fridge right now
and for something really cheap, Rolling Rock
"33" :D

Well, I am not the biggest beer drinker, but I do have to say I enjoyed drinking Zlaty Bazant when I was in Slovakia earlier this month. Anyone familiar? I would also like to say that Europeans really like their beer, and would have to say that the Germans take the cake on that one. I thought this video was very funny, and oh so true!!

Toohey's Old, but alas I have not seen it here in the states--only the New.

I'll never turn down a Point Special, especially if it's on tap. In fact, their whole line of beers is good.

I really liked the beers I tried during my trip to Romania, including: Ursus, Bucegi, Ciuc (favorite), and Silva. Maybe a couple more, but can't remember. In most cases each brand came in a blonde or dark (bruin?). The wife and I would each get one (me dark, her light) so we could try both.

People are going to think I'm nuts but...

Lonestar is one of my favorite beers. Shiner also makes me happy. Anything from the Boston Beer Works will make me salivate.

When I was in Germany a while ago, I really liked Ratsherrn Pils. I was mostly in Hamburg, and kicking myself I never made it to Octoberfest. According to that video I missed a heck of a time.

I've only had it a few times in my life but while traveling through brazil there was a beer called edinger (or something like that). Good enough that I want to go back for more.

Never had Lone Star or Shiner Bock myself, but you're not nuts about Boston Beer Works. Good fresh local brew sure is welcome anywhere. I've never found anything there particularly complex or compelling, but the freshness factor makes it a winner. Most varieties qualify for good session beer.

I'm a Belgian Beer lover myself. Loved trying out the local breweries in Belgium. Had a real nice crisp one in Brugge called de halve maan. Also like Leffe when it's on tap. Not so good when I tried to buy some bottles. Of local, US beers, I'm a fat tire fan. Pyramid Brewing Co in Berkeley has a beer called AmberWeizen that is good for a medium bodied, wheaty beer.

any wheat beer on tap is my choice. hopefully it is a microbrew.
