There are differentiations between eat in and take out over in Asia, when you dine in, 10% is auto-added to your bill so you don't have to tip.

I think that sometimes you receive your food faster if it is to-go, maybe there is a heirarchy that drive thru is fastest and precedent over the to-go followed by dine in orders as lowest priority.

Saw a group of three do that last night, though here the price is the same to go or inside. Didn't quite get why.

Ohio was tax free for carry out and taxed for dine in. Haven't been there for a few years, so it could have changed. Never a problem dining inside when placing to go orders. Saved $$ at The Maisonette.
