Thanks for sharing this. It makes me sad, but it is better than driving an hour and then finding out.

"honest food & drink in the American tradition" Excellent all around. Fun, interesting cocktails. Lots of Bourbon and Rye choices. Nice, small wine list. Every meal (7) was excellent. From Halibut to Scallops to Pasta Carbonara to Vegetarian Pasta to London Broil to Marblehead Lobster Roll. Yes, an eclectic menu. Lots of local fresh vegetables with each dish. Spinach and Brussel spout sides very good too. Appetizers very good - try the Fried Asparagus (more like tempura, with a nice dressing). Crudo very good. Gazpacho nice and fresh. Tennessee Bacon and Vital Farms Egg salad was amazing. Overall an excellent dinner - If you are in Dallas I would recommend giving it a try! Which location do you like? I've only ever done the Preston and Forrest location (the NHS Bar and Grill) for lunch. And always at the bar. Always liked it, too. |
Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore is one of the better culinary experiences I've had this decade. Farm-to-table, fresh ingredients, etc. and everything done just absolutely perfectly.

Garfrerick's Cafe in Oxford, AL - I eat at a lot of rewardsnetwork restaurants...this is one of the better ones and probably the best restaurant I've been to in Alabama.
- listed as American, Vegan and Eclectic. You can talk to the chef while seated at the bar. Although not in the rewardsnetwork program, this is a hard to find local favorite. Zionsville, IN - I would recommend the working dairy farm to table restaurant The Loft at the Traders Point Creamery. Best Mac & Cheese I've had in a while. They make their own ice cream. Link http://www.tpforganics.com/the-loft-restaurant/ Horseshoe Restaurant in Hopkinsville, KY has some awesome burgers and good cuts of steak too. Looks like a dive from the outside, but the locals know this is THE steak place. Prices are reasonable for what appears to be custom cuts of huge slabs of beef, grilled right behind the bar. -outoftown |

It really did not look like much (the neighborhood, strip mallish) until you get inside. |
