Kitchen gadget wish list
Mrs BamaVol is rolling her eyes from 25 miles away right now as she senses me type this. :p
I've already filled my kitchen cabinets with stuff I use rarely, but needed for the odd meal here or there. In fact, the dutch oven I requested for Fathers Day hasn't yet been touched. Most of my gadgets are small; box grater, mortar & pestle, lemon juicer, salt grinder, etc. I'm not really talking about appliances, major or countertop, but I guess mine are. 2 things I've always wanted. Cold cut slicer. I'd love to buy my sandwich meat in bulk and slice it as needed. Mrs B and I could live on sandwiches and probably will 6 days a week after we retire. Right now I'm not home enough and there's no storage room until I address the bunny-like tupperware reproduction rate in the cabinets. Meat grinder. Gramdma BamaVol had a hand cranked model that looked like it was ancient. The blades were changeable for different degrees of grind and it clamped to the counter. I'm not sure what I'd do with it but I want one. I'm not sure what she used it for besides making hash from leftover roast beef and potatos. Yours? |
A 20-something blonde hair, blue-eyed chef with Eva Longoria's body. :D

Would love to get my hands on one of those fancy smancy espresso machines.

I'd always wanted a Kitchen Aid stand mixer...and now I have one! ((which has a meat grinding attachment, if you think Mrs. BamaVol will allow you to buy it ;)))
The only thing that I would really like to have, although I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it, is an apple corer/peeler/slicer thing. Every time I see one, I think how easy it would be to slice up apples for pie with one of those things! Except I've never made apple pie before and I'm not sure a gadget would make a difference in that regard! :D |

I forget where, but I'm thinking county fair, Dollywood, Cracker Barrel maybe. Couldn't be too expensive. |

Kitchenaid stand mixer
Really good food processor Mandolin The first two I just can't afford. The last, I wouldn't use enough and could see me losing a fingertip. Nonetheless, I like the effect! :) |
