How do you warm brandy?
 

I've researched brandy warmers and found many different ones to chose from. Which do you find best?

I prefer the low tech methold - brandy in snifter, snifter in hand.

Warm the snifter w/ steam or hot H20 first.

I do the same.... Warm it up with hot water.

sometimes just use the warmth of the hands.

Brandy warmers might possible have been needful for English lords drinking their very chilly country homes. You don't need one. The French don't use them and you shouldn't either. Warm the glass with hot water and hold the bowl in your hand.^

Agree with the prior posts. The better the brandy quality, the less warming is needed. Cheap brandy should be warmed by being poured into coffee. Slightly better brandy warmed by rinsing the glass with hot water (or hot air drying in a dishwasher). Sufficiently good brandy should not even have that, no heat at all (not even the hand), but this is for the Paradis and up category when it matters (old brandies become fragile and are more like perfume than brandy, so there is a big difference in how the aromatics behave).

Same here w/ the sniffer.
