Meals on flight

Will be flying first class for the first time on AA from New Orleans to St Thomas. Any opinions on which are the best of the different meal choices? I am not a vegetarian, kosher, etc but if meals are much better would choose one of those. Can you find out anytime before traveling what is being served?

Welcome to FT, frh.

As mbstone implied, don't expect much either in quantity or quality (yes, even in F). Get something yummy packed (mmm, po'boys) at MSY or in the city for en flight and you'll avoid any disappointment.

If you were flying int'lly however, that would be a way different story.

I really don't think that an international meal is any different: small and never enough, and enough fat to choke a horse.

One day I will find out what they are doing up in first class...

Up in BE or First we get overcooked beef, fish or chicken.

Nothing says "you're special" better than dry, chewy, tough protein.

And often asparagus as a vegetable. Makes the lav a lovely experience on those 8-14 hour transoceanic flights.

Asparagus???

That would be torture.

Asparagus on a UA flight to FRA today.

After a while, ewwwwwww. :(

Lobster tail

On a recent flight from Singapore to Bali in SQ Business, I was served an honest-to-God lobster tail--in the shell. That, along with the very nice French champagne made for my best "airline food" ever.
