Rome

Spending 3 days in Rome. Where to go for a 25th Anniv. Dinner on a
Saturday night (July30th). Thinking also of hiring a driver for the night and doing the "Night Tour". Any suggestions???

Pergola restaurant (at the Hilton Calvalieri) is one of the top 5 restaurants I have ever enjoyed (and the list includes Taillevent and Per Se)! It is also incredibly romantic. MUST have reservations!

Sort of depends on your taste. I loved Agate and Romero and Rosetta is supposed to be perfect for fish. Try Egullet.com or Chowhound . com for more suggestions from foodies. Slowtravel also has some good lists.

I second Romeo e Agate. We had a wonderful meal there several years ago, and it always makes the top list of Where to Eat in Rome.

Oh i love Rome - I'm so jealous you are going. The only thing i remember from when I went a couple of years ago, was that I wanted to go somewhere where there were NO tourists - just to make the trip seem more real. I can't remember any of the restuarant names, but if you ask someone on the street where and exclusive place to go to is with no tourists - i'm sure they'll have plenty of places to tell you. Have a great time out there! Happy Anniversary.
