Best veggie menus in the world

Just cuz you carnivores and fishy types don't get all the culinary fun ...

My favs in no particular order (although Gagnaire should go at the top):

Tru, Chicago
Charlie Trotter's, Chicago
Roxanne's, Larkspur (sadly, gone)
Pierre Gagnaire, Paris
L'Ousteau de Baumaniere, Le Baux
French Laundry, Yountville

If you're in Houston, the Bellaire district has a lot of restaurants. And...
Two great purely vegetarian restaurants:
Quan Yin (extremely good food, HUGE selection of very creative meals like Oysters made of fried eggplant and "fake" meat, affordable prices; great taste!)
and May's Cafe & Ice Cream (good "faster" food place, big selection of tasty hot meals, also has smoothies)

There's also a vegetarian restaurant in downtown Orlando:
Garden Cafe (Colonial SR50 west of I-4) This is a full-serve restaurant, not cafe, and has decent food and good selection but compared to the two spots in Houston, is overpriced.
Also another vegetarian Indian place on OBT in south Orlando, but I haven't been there. I hear it's called "Woodlands" or something like that.

In Boston: In Chinatown I've seen a vegetarian place. Haven't tried it yet, forgot name. In Cambridge, New Asia on Mass Ave isn't a vegetarian only place but does have fake "meat" and a small selection of vege entrees. There's also a good vegetarian cafe inside the Mass Ave Buddhist center between Central Sq and Harvard Sq-no need to be Buddhist to eat there.

Are these vegetarian restaurants or restaurants with vegetarian menus (or both)?

Are you looking for vegan or vegetarian restaurants, or restaurants with vegetarian menus or restaurants with at least one outstanding vegetarian entree? (or all of the above?)

Or did I misunderstand you altogether and what you meant was restaurants that have the best vegetable dishes?

For a great Vegan restaurant one of my favorites is in Toronto Canada.

Lotus Garden Vegetarian Restaurant 393 Dundas Street W, Toronto has a vegan Vietnamese and Thai menu.

The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Canada is one of the best cities(areas) that I have found for vegetarians as it has so many fabulous vegan and vegetarian restaurants and restaurants with vegetarian menus.

Have any favorites for Aruba? I will be going there shortly and would appreciate any recommendations.

My list happens to be of restaurants that offer vegetarian menus in addition to their other menus, but I'd say all of the above works. I was just inspired by the best steak and best fish restaurants threads.

How about Greens and Millenium in SF? And the Vegetarian Tasting Menu at Fleur de Lys?

None are in my top, but all are pretty good - and Greens is certainly an institution. Fleur de Lys has the most uninspired veggie menu of all though, IMHO.

I really enjoyed Green's on two visits - the first with a vegetarian, the second with an omnivore who agreed that it's worth going to despite a lack of animal carcasses. Both were a while ago, though. I hope it hasn't gone downhill since.
