What, the chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried okra, biscuits and fried apples are not considered a healthy meal

:D

Big portions. That reminds me of Jerry's Famous Deli which is a popular chain in the LA area, and maybe other places. Each portion is enormous, especially the carrot cake which should take me a week to eat, but somehow it manages to go down much quicker.

Jerry's is pretty good deli for LA, but not quite in the same class as a true NYC deli.

Wow, never would have guessed Bonefish Grill is a chain. Ate in one in Florida when visiting my Dad. Pretty good though they did have some trouble serving everything hot. I'd still try them again.

Also like Macaroni Grill. Definitely has a chain feel; however, it is reasonable food, including healthy choices, that always fits into my expense account.

Best Malaysian/ Singaporean Restaurant Chains in Vancouver, Canada

Kudos to Tropika Restaurant (in Landsdowne, Richmond) and Banana Leaf (W. Broadway) for coming close to being as authentic as possible. ^ Many Tropika chains popping up like crazy in B.C. Go to the one in Richmond, Robson St and Arbedeen Centre. Avoid the Cambie St one - manager rude and parking's a hassle.

Banana Leaf on W.Broadway is excellent. Yummy, never been disappointed. Avoid the other chain on Denman St.

Their human relations policies are pretty unhealthy too.

I can't believe that I forgot to rave about Maggiano's!!!

How careless of me to forget!
Awesome Awesome Awesome

I have always left feeling absolutely 100% satisfied...

Have yet to get to the one in Center City Philly... Too packed when I tried!

Is Maggiano's similar to Olive Garden?

Oh Goodness no...
Very very classy place (at least the one in KOP is)
Dim lighting, sometimes singers playing the piano, potent drinks from the bar ;)

At Maggianos, there is also family portions (similar to Buca di Peppo) that you can all share, or you can order regular one person meals. Even these meals are large, and you have to choose btwn full or half portions.

To me, it's much more authentic Italian than Olive Garden, but it's not comparable to Little Italy either though.

Bread basket rocks too!

Good to know. I don't like Olive Garden, so I just wanted to make sure.
I have to try it then. Thanks!

Agreed w/ the positive write up of Maggiano's. I have been to the one in King of Prussia. Made the Olive Garden look... well.. olive & drab. ;)

I guess it's time to take the hunny on a date to Maggiano's!!!

I would have to second/third Bugaboo Creek the food is good but their customer service is outstanding.

A while back a few co-workers and I went to the Bugaboo Creek by our hotel and supprise surprise their was a long wait. After and 1 hour and 15 minutes we were seated and not 5 minutes later a large plate of nachos and wings were brought to the table "on the house" as an apology for the long wait.

Since that time, whenever my team is in DE we usually eat one night at Bugabook because of the great service.
