Thanksgiving in Manhattan

I'm having trouble finding a place that would suit my daughter's traditional holiday meal needs and my need for nice, but not too expensive.

Any ideas will be appreciated! I'm looking for cheap meals, in general, as we will be here for over a week.

I would suggest Jezebel. It's on 9th Ave at about 45th St. Although I won't be in NYC for Thanksgiving this year, I've eaten there the last 3 years when I was in for the holiday. Think of the restaurant as serving upscale Southern food. For TDay, they serve the full turkey dinner (and some alternatives) with a couple of Southern twists. The cost is ~$35 per person.

I forgot a couple of things. First, make sure you ask around over on the New York City forum. There's lots of good info there.

Here a couple of links from that forum about TDay in NYC from last year.

Lastly, I got this from Zagat:
"November 25: Who needs turkey on Thanksgiving? Counter, the stylish East Village vegetarian, is offering a five-course vegetarian menu featuring items such as cauliflower, leek and roasted apple bisque and chestnut pasta with black trumpet mushrooms (seatings at 3 & 7 PM; $50, $75 with matching wines; 212-982-5870). Other places to keep in mind for Thanksgiving include: Aureole, Bayard’s, Beacon, BLT Steak, Bouley, City Hall, davidburke & donatella, Dumonet, Gotham Bar & Grill, Guastavino’s, Kings’ Carriage House, Mark’s, One C.P.S., Ouest, Park Avenue Cafe, River Cafe, Tocqueville, Zoë, plus most Chinese restaurants."

Thank you

Thank you very much. I've pretty much decided to go with the reservation I have at the Four Seasons. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my daughter. I hope you have a good holiday!

I alway reccommend Citerella right by the NBC studios - though it can be kind of pricey.
