There are tons of restaurants in Nashville. Any idea what type of cuisine you're looking for?

thanks S.W. Link is very helpful.

As for type, I'm looking for someplace nice (table cloths), either downtown or near airport, decent wine list, fresh ingedients , maybe local cuisine if there is such a thing etc. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

hehehe... ain't none in Nashville... barbeque isn't cuisine, and even if it was, sure ain't any by the airport or downtown.

There are some great restaurants in Nashville. Not really sure of the airport area, though Opryland isn't far away. Most of the restaurants there, I believe, are more "scene" than cuisine. Downtown several of the standard steakhouses if you're looking for that - including the Palm, Morton's, Ruth's Chris, and Fleming's (last 2 by Vanderbilt.)

Near Green Hills Mall, F. Scott's has wonderful food and nice wine list.

Margot Cafe on the East side also great, smaller restaurant with a wonderful chef. You should be able to find more information on all of those, including phone numbers, hours, reservation information, etc. through nashville.citysearch.com.

Enjoy your trip!

My exboyfriend lived there and for breakfast we went to the Pancake Pantry-some sort of local breakfast place.

Let me tell you-we broke up, but I would head back to Nashville for those pancakes!

Live here......

The Nashville Scene Dining Guide and the Nashville Scene Best of Nashville have better info than Citysearch. Two of my favorite restuarants for a "date night" with my husband are the Sunset Grill and the Capitol Grille in the Hermitage Hotel.

My Two Favorite

The Wild Boar -- Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. (Expensive)

Jimmy Kelly's -- Top Steakhouse in BNA, near Vandy and off of West End Ave.

Fleming's would probably be a good place for wine, on West End by Vandy. And pancake pantry is really good. Great hash browns.

Here are my BNA favorites (from my web site).

I have not yet updated it with Samurai Sushi (which I love).

So the three places I have to go when in BNA are: La Hacienda Taqueria for the ceviche; Samurai Sushi; and White's Fish is an experience. It's basically a fish sandwich shack in the parking lot of a gas station. Veritas it's not, but it's got character! :D

I second the Wild Boar. They had a wild game tasting menu that was incredible.
