Age for fine dining?

What would you say is an appropriate age for a fine dining restaurant in terms of younger people?

I think that age and fine dining should not be correlated. The key determining factor should be the maturity and behaviour of the person in question. If a 3 year old can sit quietly and behave him or herself at a dinner, they should be no less welcome than an older person who can do the same. However, there are times where a young child has behaved better than a supposed adult. That being said, it the young(er) child is going to be obnoxious, run around, and scream, then they should not be allowed. My two cents worth

I agree it depends on the maturity level of the child. My neice is now 10 but doesn't have any brothers and sisters and is strangly almost like a little adult. She has gone out with us to lovely restaurants as long as I can remember. for her 9th B-Day she requested that we go to a local restaurant for charbroiled oysters. Not the typical palate of a 9 yr old.
