An epidemic of phony reservations during prime time
Apparently, someone in Los Angeles and New York is booking reservations for parties of 10 at some of the most highly-prized tables; all for Saturday nights and at 9:00PM. Reservations are in the name of a high-profile celebrity and the call-back-confirmation number is a well-known hotel. The party is a no-show. Why would anyone pull a stunt like this?

Frustration that the celeb could get a table, while the common man was told none were available?
Not condoning it, just speculation. |
perhaps showing up at 9:30pm with their own party of 6-10?
Not condoning it, just speculation. [This message has been edited by Sweet Willie (edited 10-23-2003).] |
