Nominated for outstanding restaurant are:
- Chanterelle of New York
- Galatoire's of New Orleans
- Topolobampo of Chicago
- Valentino of Santa Monica, Calif.
- Zuni Café of San Francisco

Best new restaurant nominees are:
- Atelier at The Ritz-Carlton, New York
- Fiamma Osteria in New York
- 40 Sardines in Overland Park, Kan.
- L'Impero in New York
- Zaytinya in Washington, D.C.


This year's rising star nominees, open to chefs age 30 or younger, are:
- Grant Achatz of Trio in Evanston, Ill.
- Tory McPhail of Commander's Palace in New Orleans
- Melissa Perello of Charles Nob Hill in San Francisco
- Luke Sung of Isa in San Francisco
- Fabio Trabocchi of Maestro at The Ritz-Carlton Tyson's Corner in McLean, Va.
