2nd Best: Hungary

Worst: England (no contest, it was dreadful) There were a few places that were good, but overall, it's quite bad.

Best: Greek islands
Worst: China (food chosen from a menu written only in chinese)

Worst home cooked meal: London (veggies with no seasoning/salt/sauces, meat overcooked until grey and juiceless, yorkshire pudding (tastes like a whole lot of nothing)

Worst: Berlin, Germany (Everything tasted nasty. YUCK!!)

Best: Houston, Texas (Scallops that can make a grown man cry. Comparable to a great climax.)
Honorable mention: Washington DC (I forget the name of this restaurant, but the ostrich they served was really off tha chain.)

Prague nearly killed me. It was the red cabbage braised in goose fat.

Worst: Hands down, the USSR.

Best: Tough call. Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Italy...

Worst - Philippines, closely followed by Saudi Arabia and the US

Best - Thailand, followed by Hong Kong

And I do think you are judging the UK a little unfairly!

Best: China, France, Spain

Worst: The United States (although you sure can get excellent food here too)

Best: Japan, France, Italy

Worst: U.K. (except breakfast)

Best: United States

Best: Hong Kong, Thailand

Worst: Ireland (circa 1983), though recent trips have been far better
