Went to dinner at friends' house. She's Italian and made braciole, served with tomato sauce and mashed potatoes. So delicious.

Flank steak with Portobello mushrooms, on rocket from the superb Polpo Venetian cookbook. Followed by extremely runny Camembert. Delicious.

Romaine salad with almonds, dried cranberries, avocado, and goat cheese.

Angel hair pasta with giant prawns, artichoke hearts, asparagus in garlic/meyer lemon/champagne sauce. Leftovers--I made it last night.

Koji-aged steak, BBQ baked beans and arugula salad. I'm definitely going to make this more often; it beats having to get a special fridge and waiting two months for "real" dry aging.
