On top of my head

1) Many years, in the Palermo Soho neighborhood of Buenos Aires, I had the best steak filet ever, for the equivalent of $8. Can't remember the name of the restaurant though.
2) More recently, I was staying at Park Hyatt Milan. I had dinner 1 evening at their all-day restaurant "La Cupola" and ordered their 'Tournedos Rossini'.
That was a fantastic course.

For those in New York City, I highly recommend "Benjamin Steakhouse" on E41st by Grand Central.

SFgate compared prime rib from sf (house of prime rib) and La (lawry’s). Thankfully hopr was the better choice even if it’s very challenging to make a reservation within a month. I just reserve months Ahead of time.

Dons de La Nature in Ginza. Hands down the best beef I have ever had, and my son called it meat butter it was so soft and flavorful.

Okay, I am English and you all know we are famous for our beef. Alas, it comes not from a cow but from a factory in Middlesbrough so actually bears no resemblance to what a nice bovine produces.

I discovered good beef in Mexico, graduated to the USA before realising the best steaks must come from Texas. Well, they do but …….. a Texan told me in a whisper that when a they want good steaks, a man or woman from the Lone Star State flies to Argentina.

So I did. There are so many great steak restaurants all over Argentina. The very best is Parilla Cero5 on Suipacha on Buenos Sires. With mashed potatoes not chips.

What steak did you order?

The photo is chorizo, which is sirloin. The other cuts I would order are ojo (rib eye) and lomo (fillet). I ate steak nearly everyday over four weeks and it was all great.

Steaks are also reliably good in Argentina. I went to Parilla Cero5 as it was close to the hotel I based myself in when in Buenos Aires between flights across the country. In Salta I praised the steak to the waiter and got free wine in return! Everywhere between Salta and Ushuaia had great steaks. I was disappointed in one famous but tourist restaurant in Retiro; they have some fancy cuts and one I had was lacking somewhat. Still good mind you!

Thanks for the translation...I never would guess chorizo is sirloin!

It’s also a sausage of course, Castillian and Argentinian Spanish I guess ! Or context.
