Pepsi Nitro

Anyone try it yet? I tried one can tonight. Rather unimpressed -tasted like flat vanilla cola to me. but, it also came from WalMart (only place I have seen it yet), so it could have been mishandled.

Eh, it's all just fizzy sugar water. No interest for me.

I read a review it seems like carbon dioxide is used for a reason (ie to keep it fizzy longer). Not sure why you'd want to drink something that goes flat fast.

Nitrogen. Almost all sodas contain Carbon Dioxide. The nitrogen creates smaller bubbles (and produces a foamy "head").

Does anyone remember the old soda fountains? The ones that used the big metal canisters? I want that back!

Apparently there's no plans (yet) to introduce it outside of the US. Very annoying.

Coke Starlight was supposed to have come out, but I haven't seen it yet anywhere.

A nitro Guinness is pretty nice.
I'd assume it makes the Pepsi "creamier", and I agree that I wouldn't want to drink that. For those who remember, it reminds me of Laverne's Pepsi and milk concoction...yech.

Advertising is delicious.

I was on a Chicago Transit Authority "L" car whose interior was wrapped in advertising for Coca-Cola Starlight. But I have been in a number of grocery stores and have not yet seen it on offer, in either a 2-liter bottle or 12-pack 12-oz. cans. Maybe Coca-Cola is limiting distro to only convenience stores and vending machines? :p

It's not at all what I want a soda to be. The fizzier the better. Pepsi Nitro was creamy, flat, and boring.

And it's more expensive than regular Pepsi, so unless there is a sample, I am going to pass.

Wonder what Starlight Coke tastes like. We have had it in all the grocery stores in 12 pack cans and 2-liter bottles, but not in convenience stores. Not going to pay $2.85 for a 2-liter bottle just to throw it out if I don't like it. A 12-pack of cans is $5.75 in my area. In the past I waited to find a new flavor in a convenience store can and pay up to a $1.25 maximum to try it. If I like it (like the Black Cherry Soda Shop Pepsi), I will then buy it in the grocery store. However, I will still wait until there is a sale that is a BOGO so I can buy my usual flavors as well.
