Fizzics

Does anyone have experience with Fizzics? I've seen them posted in a few beer groups, and I'm intrigued, but I don't know if it's worth it. Do you have to add microfoam? Does it add microfoam to the beer automatically?

Fun! I just googled it. They’re out of bankruptcy and maybe doing a great product. That said, I read about the importance of pouring any can or bottle of beer into a wide-mouth glass. I don’t know how true that is and it does make me think that maybe all carbo drinks need to be poured into a glass before consumption. I often drink Jarritos and MX Coke sodas plus LaCroix out of bottles and cans so maybe they’ll be better if poured.

At one time or another, I’ve drunk just about everything from the bottle. But a glass just feels more civilized. There are places where I’ll still drink beer out of a bottle - so as not to attract attention and also because sanitation is suspect.

There are also some beers that I think are meant to be consumed straight from the bottle. Corona is one.

But that damn lime gets in the way.

Piels Real Draft used to be sold (I’m sure the brand is now defunct) in a wide mouth bottle that was designed to make glasses unnecessary.

Fine should never be used as a descriptor for malt liquor. ;)

The product name brings back bad memories.

There was a product called Fizzies when I was a kid. It was a tablet that would flavor and carbonate a glass of water. Apparently they were too expensive for my mother’s taste so I only had them at other kids houses.

When I had a stomach ache as a kid, my father would inevitably ask me if I needed a physic. I think that was code for enema or laxative. I tried to keep my stomach aches secret because of that. He thought it was funny. I thought it sounded scary.
