Just went to Legion Brewing - South Park in Charlotte for my first beers of 2022. I had a Gravity Hammer Double IPA and a Supernova Blueberry Pomegranate Gose.

An Aldi Winter Lager. I've got like 7 or 8 to go from this abysmal Advent Calendar I was gifted.
Thankfully at home I have some cans from local spot Flying Bull Brewing Company which are really good.

In addition to their iconic Oil Man imperial stout, Elevation released a series of flavored beers based on Oil Man.

Some brilliant person in their Facebook comments suggested mixing their salted caramel and coffee together. It was amazing.
They were also just voted Colorado Brewery of the Year (South/Central Region) amongst their peers.

New Belgium "Voodoo Ranger" Juicy Haze IPA
Meant to save it for tomorrow but opened it now without thinking while putting away groceries.

Finally! Tried the infamous Pliny the Elder. It is indeed very good, and to my surprise it is almost identical in taste to my beloved Hexagenia (Fall River Brewing Redding, CA) which I have mentioned here several times. There is a certain subtle flavor in both that I have never tasted in any other IPA. No wonder Hexagenia quickly became the #1 selling draft IPA in much of far northern California. If you like Pliny, try a Hex if you see it. They are slowly expanding their distribution.
