Countries with more butter have happier citizens

"According to this infographic, there is a clear, statistical link between self-reported levels of life satisfaction in countries worldwide (vertical axis) and the per-capita supply of dairy products — in this case, butter (horizontal axis)...."

Two questions:
  1. Where's the U.S. mapped on the graph?
  2. If many countries are "cow poor" (e.g. limited grazing land, large lactose intolerant populations), do countries with "excess" butter need to give them or export more butter so they can be happier?

How could any nation have excess butter? It’s all so good. Anyway yes agreed that butter exports are a mega double win. I also still don’t miss my Breton French butter that I used to buy for $12. I’m perfectly content with Costco butter.

Marlon Brando agrees.

Where are Finland and Denmark on that scatter plot?

LOL...anyone here old enough to remember that stupid Margarine craze? I still remember my Grandmother telling me to just ignore whatever "they" say, and do the opposite.

I think them, Norway, and Sweden are about a foot to the right of Iceland, and maybe an inch higher.

It's not a Swedish sandwich unless you slather a pound of butter on each piece of bread.

I put extra butter on my toast for breakfast today, having read this. Plus let's not forget the honey!

More seriously, I can't imagine living life on margarine (or spread as it's now called). It tastes disgusting and is bad for you.
