Recommendations on which wine for which cookie. Woo-hoo!

Cheers.

Two of my favorite things.

I prefer the whisky pairings, FWIW. Speaking of Girl Scout cookies, we ordered from neighbors and from a co-worker. The neighbors have never delivered... Well, we haven't paid, either, but sheesh; I'd have bought more from my coworker if I knew how unreliable the neighbors would be.

I was out for a run today and came by a house with a sign out front advertising Girl Scout cookies...I kept running...barely:D

I'm usually done with my single serving size of Girl Scout Cookies before I can even think to take my first sip of wine.

A single serving size is one box, right? :D

That's how I've always judged it.:D

Damn, now I'm hungry.

Having the stock in the house is the worst.

At least the cost is tax deductible, right?:D

A budding entrepreneur! Officially GS organization not thrilled, but supposedly it's not against their rules. Wonder if they'll close the loophole.

Cheers.

Purchasing cookies is not tax deductible unless you are donating the cookies. Too bad though!

A good alternative when the season is over:

Somebody in our office popped up TODAY with a huge new supply of Thin Mints for sale. I assume it's a good strategy...everybody's buying.

The usual approach is that half the office is taking orders in January. So many people are selling that I can't imagine any one person gets 100's of orders. Then the cookies hit the street in early February, and everybody pays up for whatever they ordered in January.

Finally, 2 weeks later, this other person rolls in with a load of supply right as everybody's about to check themselves into a clinic to detox after running out of Thin Mints. They *do* sell 100's of boxes, thus winning whatever you win for doing that.

We don't do orders here. We just get the cookies and start selling.

Neither my husband or I go to work in a traditional workplace. My girls sell all their cookies themselves.

Ahh! Perhaps you are referring to this article from The Bourbon Review...
