Wine Bottle Question

I am not a wine drinker but my husband enjoys a glass or two on occasion.

He recalls seeing an ad somewhere about a product similar to a syringe that allows you to pour a glass without uncorking the bottle. Unfortunately, he does not know the name or where he saw it.

anyone know of any such product?

Thanks

There's a number of those products; my guess is he saw an ad for Coravin.

Yes, Coravin is the "name brand" one.

I've had a coravin for a few months now, and really like it. On average I'd say it triples the "shelf life" of an open bottle of red. The only caveat, if it matters to you, is that it pours very slowly, as the wine is essentially flowing through a needle.

Coravin only really makes sense for relatively expensive wine and/or longer retention periods.

If you aren’t that bothered about a little oxidisation and the wine isn’t very pricey, Vacuvin works ok for a couple of days to up to a week and doesn’t need argon cartridges etc.
