Should I bake or Boil my Rutabaga?

Had a request for Rutabaga for Thanksgiving. I would like to roast them, but I only have one oven, so the turkey goes in there and won't be hot enough to roast. So, I can eiother simply boil them, or I can bake them. I am not a Rutabaga eater, so I am not sure if one is better for them than the other.

I really enjoy roasted root vegetables but I have no problem with boiled and mashed rutabaga. I don't think you have many choices. Lots of butter.

I vote for a slow bake (rutabega chunks) in the pan with the turkey. The drippings will really flavor them nicely. They will probably finish cooking before the turkey is done, so take them out and give them a hard sear in a hot pan to crisp them up prior to serving. Yum.
