Sounds just like the place I first had crispy aromatic duck in London. There are probably a few good ones around there.

Peking Duck at Bianyifang in Beijing last year, went with my dad after graduating college. Would go back to PEK just to get some of that Duck.
Char Siu BBQ pork at Joy Hing in Hong Kong. Have since upgrading to goose and pork at Kam's Roast Goose. Gonna try Yat Lok on my next go.
Looking forward to trying Lechon in Cebu with my wife while visiting her family later this summer.

Strangely enough, my husband and I say that when visiting Australia from the UK. However on the last visit we discovered The British Sausage, Ham and Bacon Co. (“Australian made, the British way”) so we can now enjoy a proper bacon sandwich over there.

If they're cooking, you'd better not eat anything before. I visited a coworker's family in Cebu and there wasn't enough room on the table for all the dishes. Best lumpia I've ever had.

For me, it's the following
Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice in Singapore
Xiaolongbao in Shanghai
Moules et frites in Brussels
Croque Monsieur in Paris
Chicken Paprikash and Palascinta in Budapest
Soljanka and Pelmeni in Estonia

I've spent Christmas week in Paris the past few years and always brought Beurre Bordier home with me. I pack it in plastic storage containers and put them in an insulated bag. It's cold enough that time of year to make it home just fine when packed in my checked luggage.
