Free Chik Fil A When You Download New App
Chik Fil A has a new mobile app and when you download it you have a choice of a free original, spicy, or grilled chicken sandwich.

I downloaded it a few days ago, at the urging of one of our local Chick-fil-A employees. I now also have a section where I earn treats as I make purchases.

Some (excerpts) of the lovely permissions one gives this app:
Photos/Media/Files
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
read the contents of your USB storage
prevent device from sleeping

That must be an Android OS thing because it's not listed in the iOS privacy disclosure.

Mr. Kipper and I are both using our free sandwiches tonight. I also have a free large Icedream and our calendar cards both have free large drinks. Cheap dinner tonight!

Downloaded the app about a week ago and used it for the first time this weekend. For the most part, the app is fairly intuitive and easy to use. I was surprised to see some things on the app menu that I had never seen on the drive-thru menu. Nothing earth-shattering, mind you, and they may well be there and I just never noticed before.
I ordered and drove over in less than 10 minutes. When I got parked, I clicked on the "I'm here" tab and went inside. Less than 60 seconds later, I was out the door with my order.
I think they've got a real winner with this one.

FWIW, the treats you can redeem for change based on frequency of visits, and are not the same for each guest.

For some reason the barcode you scan to pay doesn't display correctly on my Android cell phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Strangely, if I download the app to my old Android and log in, the barcode loads just fine. I may just have to do mobile order so that I don't have to scan anything. Mobile order if it works well will be a huge winner as the line at lunch time at the Chick fil A next to my office is usually all the way to or even out the door if you go between 11:30 and 1.
