Best Chinese Buffet or favorite

I make no pretense that mine is the best, but I do spend way to much money there. Those folks seem like family.
Dynasity Buffet
Franklin Square
Gastonia, NC.

So what's your favorite ?

Chinese buffets seem to have all but disappeared in Denver.

The good news is that the number of Indian restaurants with lunch buffets are increasing.

King Wah, Paihia, NZ.

My experiences with buffets have left me at the point where I'd rather spend $20 (breakfast) to up to $100'ish for brunch/lunch dinner at a hotel once in a blue moon than $15 on the regular. Not many good options in the more "regular" price ranges, barring a few Japanese/sushi buffets.

King Wah is an exception. Beautiful fresh oysters, authentic-Hong Kong quality BBQ: char siu/pork, pork belly, and Canto fried chicken among other things. NZ$25. Toss in northern style potstick jiaozi dumplings, spring rolls, a decent fried rice, soup, salad bar, other meats/seafood etc etc etc and it's miles ahead of the usual "deep fried in artificially coloured corn-starch sauce" that passes for Chinese.

If you accept Japanese too, Minado in Carle Place NY is fabulous. There are a few in New Jersey and one in Massachusetts.

Wow, so many choices. And the whole wall of sushi. Gorgeous desserts.

Have you tried Ming's Dynasty? Their buffet is ok plus it's only $10. It is in Glendale, near Infinity Park (on Mississippi).

I'm never near that area for lunch. And no Chinese buffet is worth driving more than a few minutes.

Sorry, I will disagree somewhat, because it's not Chinese primarily. I have a favorite buffet in South Florida that I drive about 20 miles to go to. The food is very fresh and it's always busy.

The difference is it's a primarily Japanese Sushi Buffet with a few Chinese hot dishes and soup; raw bar including Cocktail (not peel & eat) shrimp, snow crab legs, oysters, clams, and mussels; a Hibachi grill, and some other desserts besides ice cream and fruits.

It's located in SW Miami-Dade, and I live in NE Miami-Dade. It's called Shinju. There is a chain in Broward and WPB counties by the same name, but they are not related. The chain has opened a few in Miami-Dade, but have to use a different name due to the fictitious name law, so the Miami-Dade locations are called Ginza.

There's a minado 5 miles away from my house. I prefer to spend the same amount of money at a good sushi restaurant. YMMV.

It sure beats the $1.35 a scoop places in Auorora. No amount of money can tempt me to walk into one of those places.

I am up that way for work quite a bit. I think we actually had a group lunch there several years ago, but it wasn't really memorable.

Recent Yelp comments are also not that great.

Care to elaborate on the recommendation? I will be up there again next week.

Chinese buffet is usually pretty gross and greasy...avoid. Sushi on the table? I'll tell you a thing or two about the sourcing of the seafood.
