What brand of Instant polenta do you use?
What brand of Instant Polenta do you use? I know some people refuse to use the instant stuff - but I am not one of them. But there seems to be a few different brands available in my area. Myself, I commonly use the Ferrara brand, but the only store that carries it is a bit of a drive and I am tired of dealing with them. My preferred market alas only carries the Pastene brand, and I have never been fond of Pastene anything.

I've use Bob's Red Mill and Dell' Alpe. I believe one or both is/are instant.

Not that I know the difference between instant and non instant.....but polenta is very popular here in Argentina. What is the difference?
My wife regularly has it just with grated matured cheese. Personally I can't stand the stuff no matter how it's cooked. |
It's pretty easy to make polenta, with cornmeal and butter.
Plus you can make a nice one with added rosemary & some thyme. |
I buy it already made in a plastic tube. Ancient Harvest is an organic brand I like. I am looking at a tube of garlic/basil polenta as I type. Pretty reasonable price - under $5, sometimes on sale for $3.50. Available at my local Publix. Slice it, fry it in olive oil and cover in homemade spaghetti sauce.
