Best Lounge Beer?

I'm sitting in the Dan Lounge at TLV where I notice the only beer they have is Carlsberg in a can. I don't like Carlsberg at all (and it's the only choice here) which got me thinking - which lounges have the best beer and what do they serve? I can't say I have historically paid much attention to this but I think it's time for us to do so and report here!

Centurion Lounge in SFO has some decent microbrews that are included with the entrance charge (if applicable depending on your Amex card).

Most lounges in Africa have local beers, not that they are great (mostly just average pilsner types) but at least different than you'll find anywhere else. Same in Asia but still all moderately tasteless beers.

I liked when the Continental Presidents Club had free Shiner Bock on draft. RIP.
At the LGA Centurion, I like getting the Sixpoint IPA.

Best Lounge Beer?

There was Anchor Steam in the UA first lounge at SFO 5 years ago when I used to fly United. Not sure if it's still there, but I always enjoyed a bottle or two before flying to Asia.

The SFO Centurion typically has on tap three different beers; based on my most recent visit, they had:
  • Trummer Pils
  • Lagunitas IPA
  • Almanac Emperor Norton (Belgian-style)

Best Lounge Beer?

Does it depend on your taste for beer
I have never found a beer worth drinking at any lounge but G&T you can find almost everywhere

Best Lounge Beer?

Most Priority Pass lounges have quite a few bottled brews to choose from. Not sure exactly what all of them were but The Club at ATL had about a dozen of them lined up on the bar and I have to believe there was something in there that would work for most folks! All DL SCs now have a local draft that is comp too... Sweetwater 420 in ATL for instance. I give DL props for upgrading the comp alcohol in their clubs... Still not top shelf but light years beyond the rotgut AA serves in their ACs. One last one... I like the Presidente pilsener that the serve in the MIA Centurion Lounge... Light and refreshing.

For me, the RCC at Narita works well since I love cold draft Asahi. I also like a good IPA from time to time, but I don't expect to find it in an airport lounge.

I haven't been in a DL lounge in years but it is where I was introduced to Sweetwater 420.

That is a great beer! I wish I could get it out here in San Diego.

Kirin Black at NRT, in the JL F lounge (a few years ago).

You gotta go to Belgium for the best beers. I always take the train so I'm not sure what the BRU airport lounges offer, but some of the hotel lounges have good beer. The Brussels Hilton serves draft Leffe in the EL. The HIX in Mechelen has several specialty Belgian beers in the fridge. One free to Platinum members, but it's technically not a lounge. It's been years since I've been to the Hilton Antwerp so I can't say what they have, but it ought to be good.

Regarding the Africa post above, the IC Nairobi always has Tusker and Pilsner in the lounge fridge, both of which are good. I think most of the airline lounges at NBO have the same.

And at least some of the LH SEN lounges in Germany have Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse on tap. MUC for sure.
