Ian, do you have an instant read meat thermometer? You can get one for around $10 and for things like the pork chop or chicken breast it would be perfect. You take the food out and take the temp and put it back if needed....you can't leave it in while cooking but check the temp sooner than you think it should be done and you can guess how much longer it has to go. And don't forget most foods continue to go up in temp for a while after they are removed from the heat source.

I bought the Ninja Foodi dual zone air fryer last week. It's great and have made burgers, pork chops, chicken breasts, corn on the cob, and fries. All were great and it's easy to clean. My only complaint is cooking temps vary so greatly between the owners manual and recipes. Also, recipes say pre heat while the manual makes no mention of it. You have to calculate this plus you have to compensate for longer cooking times when cooking two different items at once so it's really a crap shoot. Just pull out when you think it's done and poke it.

I used my MEATER wireless meat thermometer tonight for the first time. It’s fantastic. My only complaint is on me - I bought the basic level model with only 33 feet bluetooth range. My phone lost connection when I went into the next room, so I went back into the kitchen to leave my phone on the counter, and had to check the numbers every couple of minutes. It has an audible alarm, but I found fascination in watching the numbers change. Anyway, it’s a fun tool. (FYI, they’re 20% off right now for Father’s Day.)

Do you get to set the target temp or does it use preset ones based on the protein ?
(Sorry for the oversized photos. I had trouble resizing.) https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1ee9dc07b.jpeg Steps 1 and 2. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7dfddd3c8.jpeg Steps 2 and 3 for Flank Steak.
