Bud Light.

Whistle Pig Rye whiskey. It's like drinking gasoline. Definitely a fire hazard too.

Absinthe multiple times (both foreign - e.g., Prague; and domestic - e.g., DC). Was absolutely disgusting and certainly no fun EuroTrip-style hallucinations

To each his own; I really like Whistle Pig 10 year Rye. It's overpriced, but tasty IMHO.

The favorite "chaser" in my distant youth...

Have to admit to rather disliking any of the Austrian/German/Swiss "Kirschwasser" aka Cherry liquors as I genuinely hate both cherry and generic sweet taste notes.

A local sports bar and bowling alley (Jillian's Lucky Strike) once served me a whiskey sour that I swear was just lemonade in a glass.

Craft breweries make drinking problems seem like a neat hobby. The only downside is that the trend is to keep adding hops until their IPAs are undrinkable.

Bloody mary. Hate the taste, hate the name even more.

diburning Feb 17, 2016 10:30 pm

My ex (named Mary) really hated my "that time of the month again?" jokes whenever she would order one :D

Mrs Clint Bint and I occasionally practice our comedy routine in rougher bars.

She: " I'll have a Bloody Mary please. "
Me: " And an [redacted due to violation of FT Rules] tonic for me. "

There are mixed results ...:D

But man... I hate that name. The person who came up with that name and the person who designed today's Lincolns should be hung in front of their family, and their children should be made aware that they can no longer afford to eat three meals a day because their parents were idiots.

We recently lost a very dear friend, who once upon a time bartended at our favorite pub. He had a shot called a 'Dougzilla' that might well have been the foulest concoction I've ever had - Wild Turkey, well tequila, and a liberal helping of Tabasco. It was truly awful. I can't rightly remember why or how I ever had more than one, I must have been deserving of punishment for some reason.

I had the pleasure of seeing some of his currently active fraternity brothers celebrating a new 21st birthday with this shot this past weekend - it did my heart good seeing them carry on the tradition. Kid took off his hat but managed not to spew into it, I was quite proud.

No such thing as too much hops.

diburning Feb 18, 2016 4:17 pm

I like hoppy beers. I've had some where it's essentially a hop extract though.
