Very, very true and solid advice. A dull knife isn't a knife at all. It's an accident waiting to happen at worst. At best, it's just going to make an easy job far more difficult.

The Henckels and Wusthuf sets are Amazing. Depending on your price range, these are the ones to look at:
Henckels Twin Signature 11 Piece Block Cutlery Set - $200
Wüsthof Classic 8-Piece Knife Set - $300
If price is not an issue and you simply want the best, check out Ginsu Hanaita 15 Piece Damascus Series Cutlery Set, but these can run you over $1000.
