Eggs in the states that taste like anything?
 

I'm tired of eggs that taste like nothing. You put salt and pepper on them and they taste like...salt and pepper.

I'm really missing the tasty European eggs.

Are there any eggs commonly available in the states that actually have flavor?

Plenty of small producers in these parts. I would expect that if you go to a farmer's market in your area, you'll find one in your area, too. "Commonly available" (i.e., on a national scale) will generally result in an egg that tastes almost like your supermarket tomato.

I get my eggs from a place in the Shenandoah Valley, VA named Polyface Farm (polyfaceyum.com). You can find a local provider at eatwild.com or localharvest.org.

Me too. That's my daughter's general persona - I even call her Veruca on occasion :p

I think IHOP puts pancake batter in their omelettes...

The best eggs I can recall eating were in the UK. Much darker yolks and nicer flavour.

Second best was at a restaurant in Clearwater, FL, called Lenny's. Very popular breakfast spot.

Yes they do. Hence, why if I want an omelette at IHOP I order egg white only.



At home, I get my eggs from a local farmer instead of from the grocery store. And there definitely is a difference.
