Some of mine are
- tamarind potato/eggplant curry - pomegranate popsicles - key lime pie - strawberry-rhubarb pie - sour apple bubblegum - Euro Tart frozen yogurt (good enough just by itself but delicious with berries) but I'm always looking for others. What are yours? |

Well played.
But, please, spare us the Kardashian family recipes. :) |
An ex-girlfriend of mine made a great spaghetti alla puttanesca. Never asked her where she learned how to do it.
Key lime pie is a fav as are lemon curd cookies and cranberries. For me, tart works best with sweet - in both food and gf's. ;) |
When I get an orange juice on the plane, I'll always ask for lemon slices/nubs too. Sometimes if I remember beforehand, I'll grab a cup of lemons at an airport bar, which I'd use for water too.
As for foods, pretty much any candy that's meant to be tart/sour, particularly "Sour Patch Kids" and the sour watermelon pieces, lemon drops (though those are often more sweet than necessary), Jolly Ranchers watermelon and lemon, and tamarind candies are nice too. Key lime pie for sure, and definitely grapefruit. Yoghurt too, but that depends on what I'm eating with it. |
Favorite tart foods
Pinkberry or Red Mango original, preferably with kiwi and/or fresh raspberries and/or strawberries.

green apple candy - jolly ranchers, starburst, or sour patch straws |
I don't know what it's called, but I love the pickled vegetable mixture that's served as a condiment with the appetizers at Indian restaurants here.

Strawberry tarts....loved them since I was a kid. Quite an art eating them and leaving the strawberry till the last.

As for my favorite tart, it's probably pop tart, flavor cherry |

Trader Joe's lemon bars are pretty good for a simple thaw and serve dessert

Pomegranates.
Really really tart (and crisp) green apples. Some type of pickled veg I had in China last time I was there - often added to noodles. Looks like some kind of tiny chopped green bean. Lime - fresh lime juice and plain soda, lime wedges, 'real' Key lime pie (hint: if it isn't tart, it isn't 'real', IMHO). |
