Fluff

Some friends just gave me a jar, imported from the East Coast of the U S of A. My first jar, ever.

Jealous?

It's great for use in fruit dips.

There's really only one good use for fluff: Fluffernutters.

Peanut butter and fluff between two toasted slices of white bread. Basically pure decadence.

Yes, they described these to me. I did confirm that I must use cheap white bread and supermarket (not fancy) BP.

Used to love the fluff, haven't had it in years. It also features in some pretty good fudge recipes.

  • 1 jar fluff
  • 1 box cream cheese (8 oz)

Mix.
Dip strawberries.

Divine.

Fluff

Better yet, equal parts of Nutella and Vanilla Greek Yogurt as a fruit dip!

Nice to go down memory lane, which is what I've been doing most of the day on Facebook. ^

Usually the other kind of "Fluff" doesn't make you hungry....

But there are some good looking ideas on this page for things to do with your jar of fluff.

never did like marshmallow stuff, as a kid I'd ditch the marshmallow from the S'Mores and have a warm chocolate sandwich with the graham cracker & chocolate.

So not jealous but if you are digging it, it's your thing, do what you wanna do !

It is one of those "not available here" foodstuffs, and my friends (from the East) just love it, so it is a "special gift," even if not an exciting one!

I just found a report from 2010 that it was available at Cost Plus in California, you may want to try there. Also reports that for some reason it is commonly available in kosher markets, at least in Los Angeles.

You can also buy it on amazon.com if you're really needful.

One time my fiance and I made homemade Concord grape fluff using juice as a base instead of water. Used it to make really intense PB&J fluffernutters, which were absolutely unreal.
