Come to Korea. Spam is so popular it's a common gift item during their primary holiday. You can get 20 assorted Spam in a gift box at the grocery store.

Not a joke.

Another true story - my wife and I lived in China for 2 years. She couldn't stand the local food (I loved it, mostly because the price was right).

When we went home after the first 12 months and she could have any of the hard-to-get-in-China foods we missed from the US, such as a nice juicy steak, desserts, baked goods, etc... she demanded Chinese food.

...yes I get there is a difference between real Chinese food and American Chinese, but really?

I had some Kangaroo in (surprise surprise) Melbourne, AU. Was quite good.

Had one of the other "OMG!" meats, horse, in Uzbekistan too. Wasn't too bad but a little gamey for me. Locals loved it. So does Gordon Ramsey.

Living in Qatar, I enjoy Chili's every once and awhile. It's by far the best of the "American" restaurants there. (Plus they open at 11:00am Fridays, pretty much the only option in town besides hotel buffets at that time.)

Also I love McDonald's breakfast. They recently added the breakfast items in Qatar -- the lack of pork in the Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin with Egg has no impact. In fact, maybe it's even better because it's a bit less greasy. Lord knows what meat they actually use as a substitute.

Is it too late to flag the 20,000,000 message for objectionable content? Just for kicks!

Good thing that message number 20 million wasn't some profanity-laden rant! Time to start taking guesses on 25 million. Congratulations, tonerman!
