The last glass of the bottle of Murphey-Goode Pinot Noir that I picked up a couple days ago at Safeway on my way to my AirBnB in Berkeley. Leaving first thing in the morning so it was drink it or toss it. Stricktly speaking, tossing would probably have been the better choice, but instead I'm up with it and catching uo on Flyertalk. All I really need to do tomorrow is get my butt to the airport for my flight. How hard can that be?

I'm having my Holiday Inn Express (UK) welcome beverage - a 187ml bottle of The Playlist by Paul Sapin, a lovely non-vintage red tempranillo/shiraz wine in a plastic bottle with a plastic screwcap. Slightly reminiscent of Gato Negro in a box, but not as viscous. So glad I also received a Twix as part of my welcome amenity, as I'll be able to get this not really offensive taste out of my mouth.

A glass (or 2) of Vouvray to ease into the evening. This Domaine Pichot is a bit sweeter than I like, but I'm not complaining.

Had a new NZ Sauvignon Blanc over the weekend - Curious Kiwi. Really, really good stuff. Very tart, long finish. Citrusy and guava flavors.

I'm inclined to agree. For a special occasion next week, decanted several days ago, and tasted to ensure seepage hasn't occurred--an 1802 Terrantez.
