The noodles are from our friend ‘ s family “ factory “ . She did not have time to prepare char siu or make her family ‘ s special wantons , but the pork you see was delicious too . The 2 types of noodles come with 5 different sauces , all somewhat simple but each unique
The cakes are from Chalkfarm
Mee kia with white sauce and chilli sauce
Noodles , mee pok , with the oyster sauce ( all time favourite) andsambal
Mee pok chilli tomato sauce
Durian pandan and pulot hitam cakes
Cheese bingka & kueh koswee
Persimmons , tangerines , Thai mangoes and rambutans
Mangosteens are not in season yet if you are wondering , 1readyset2go

I had an unplanned nap yesterday evening and didn’t feel like cooking the steak I’d taken out of the fridge, so I had tomatoes and habańero cheddar with a bialy for dinner. Breakfast was the filet mignon still on the counter this morning. I over-seared the first side, so it was a tad overcooked, but still delicious.
All from my Friday Imperfect Foods box, except the bialy. This was the first time I ordered filet mignon; ime not regularly available. It was $13.99 for 10 ozs, grass fed and finished. What’s a normal price?

My oldest went to a Mexican border town for a couple of root canals and crowns.
She brought me back some Mexican bread, and a two liter bottle of Mexican Coke.

When we did the TJ daytrips in my previous life we used to bring back the 1.75 ltr bottle of Cazadores that we bought for $10 each!

Day 2 I added raspberries and a squirt of maple syrup. Still not sweet enough. I have enough for two more days of experimentation.

I fear that berries won’t be sweet enough plus they’re so great to eat by themselves. :-)

If you are adding peanut butter for the flavor, try powdered peanut butter. It is higher in protein and very low in fat and would mix in well. Why don't you want to heat the oatmeal to mix stuff in? Skippy Super Chunk is sweetened and would work (at room temp).

Monday luncheon:
Baked potato with toppings
grilled chicken apple sausage
leftovers from thursday poker night (restaurant Carryout):
chicken biriyani
pakora - fried hot chili
saag paneer
Plus: Tasty bite package of Bombay Potatoes
although your 10-Oz was plenty plus a surprise, and you didn’t need to buy 3 full pieces of meat :-)
i Would like a steak and need to wait a week or longer as my spouse & child both want less red meat. But boy do I love those Costco steaks!
