I do like how the contestant pool is a little older.

Warning! Spoilers will be posted in this thread. If you are not caught up to the most current episode, it might be best to avoid this thread until you are.

Thanks for the heads up, looks like a good cast.

It will be interesting to see what the dietitian beings to the table, the chefs aren't usually focused on the calorie count.

Life After Top Chef

Not the most compelling TV show out there.

Seems like Richard's wife has issues (or is it that Richard unnecessarily fills himself with guilt?).

Jennifer has issues (and she looks horrible with hair extensions).

Spike and his family sound like a blast to hang out with.

Fabio is Fabio.

Still haven't seen this week's episode.

Edited to add: Don't like how this was moved into this thread, but I guess this show will end once TC10 starts.

This week's episode is a continuation of your quick debrief. ;) Seems more like a mockumentary for the Top Chef addicts.

Jazmin is psycho.

Very interesting twist to start the season. It looks like Stefan really doesn't want to be there; as if he purposefully overcooked the quail to get the boot. Like with most of the recent seasons, I don't see any stand-out Top Chef-quality cheftestants.

I'm not wild about the twist. You would think that the returning chefs would have an unfair advantage with knowing how to play the game and dealing with the stress and time constraints.

So very glad Carla got the boot.

Life After Top Chef

How did Dean figure out something happened to Fabio when he was 22?

Why exactly is Emeril on there? They need to get rid of him. Both he and his restaurants are a joke and I've never seen him anywhere make anything either interesting or technically difficult. He helped out one contestant with his gumbo and the guy almost was booted out for it. He's horrible.

I haven't read further...and haven't seen an episode. First, I LOVE the series. Second, I'm way out of touch but can't wait to get back involved. I wonder if the lack of interest/conversation here is a predictive message for the season/series?

It was like this last year, too. It picked up closer towards the end, when the real chefs come out to play. I still have no idea how Tyler made it on the show. I certainly won't visit Elway's for his cooking.

The problem with last year is they brought 2x as many chefs as needed. They then did some stupid quickfire to get rid of half of them. In the process, they lost a lot of good people. It was a bad idea. You're not going to find the best person that way.

I'm solidly on Team Sheldon. I love his restaurant.

I will be happier when the members of the pork&grits team are gone. They both annoy me.

The mustache guy Josh annoys me a lot, the most Hated Chef in Dallas, John not so much. I am so glad Carla is gone, oh goodness did her constant chatter bother me. I feel sorry for her fellow chefs. I don't think having the Last Chance Kitchen winner being inserted directly into the finals is quite fair, I think they should have to go into the episode before like they did last year. Overall I love the show though!
