Easy and Filling Breakfast

I love breakfast any time of day.

My perfect meal is as follows:

An omelet with cheese
Asparagus and Sausage
A side of crispy bacon
Home-fries (with onion and peppers mixed in) a couple of fluffy pancakes Sourdough toast
And a hot but not too hot, bloody Mary.

Can anyone top that? :D

Throw the first four things into a tortilla (along with a dash of some spicy pork green chili), and you have a portable breakfast burrito.

I don't know about adding the asparagus, but I agree with the other items. :)

That said, for me, lots and lots of coffee as a beverage.

When I saw the thread title, I thought "duh, breakfast burrito". I am glad I wasn't the only one.

So, yeah, breakfast burrito. Or a bowl of steel cut oats.

You want a filling breakfast eh? Steak and eggs. Especially if you do the steak in the skillet first and then cook your eggs in the grease to make dirty eggs! Serve that with a side of toast and you're set for hours.

YOW! Far TOO filling for me. I'd maybe be able to tackle that after a marathon.

My favorite all-time breakfast is simply two soft boiled eggs with toast/butter. Like Anthony Bourdaine, I'm an egg slut. ;)

Since your breaky has eggs, I'm on board. Just could not finish it.

An everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese topped with slices of red onion and tomato then topped with slices of Irish belly lox and a yoohoo.

I do this open-faced style so you get two pieces topped high with deliciousness.

Not a good breakfast before being close to people without some Scope or Trident.

Point me to a good quality genuine NYC Bagel with Lox and cream cheese and I'm there. Your toppings of of red onion and tomato sound like bliss.
Nice.

That's big enough to be the only meal of the day!

Hate to sound like a 16 year old girl, but OMG! YES. Two soft boiled eggs, with toast, butter and a nice cup of coffee.

I'm THERE! :p^

I don't do coffee, but 2 eggs and toast is what I consider a (very) light breakfast. A regular breakfast would be 2-3 eggs of some sort, biscuit & gravy or potatoes or both, and some sort of meat. Since I've been doing the 700-800 calorie breakfast (around 2hrs after waking), small afternoon snack and 300-400 calorie dinner, it's been easy to maintain my weight even with substantial beer consumption.:)
