Montreal Steak Seasoning

I think I have an addiction.

I've been using it mostly on vegetables. Sure makes steamed broccoli taste better :)

I can't say that I've ever thought to use it on veggies, but now I have to try it on them. :D

Grind/pound/roll it down to a rough powder and it is even better.

I have a bottle of it, but I've neve used it. I'm afraid if I don't like it, I will have ruined a good steak. Nice to know I can try it on some veggies so it won't be an expensive loss if the stuff sucks. :)

It's pretty good on steak, IMHO.

Just rub it in a corner of a piece of steak and then you will know for sure. You won't regret it.

What is it?

It's a blend of the spices you might already have in your kitchen. Nothing too crazy, but yes, tasty.

Google is your friend, as always.

Montreal Chicken is pretty good as well, I like that on chicken (naturally) and potatoes ^.

We have about 2/3rds of a large Costco container of it sitting mostly idle now. Great on steaks though not every time. We rarely eat steaks anymore, instead switching to tri-tip, and there is nothing in the world better for tri-tip than Pappy's seasoning. Santa Maria style all the way.

Where can you get Pappy's seasoning? Is this something that can be found in most grocery stores or do I need to order it online?

Thanks!

I don't know about most, but it seems to be able to be found online and in some stores.

From McCormick and Co. Possibly made 1 mile from my house in Hunt Valley, MD. If the wind blows right, I can tell what they are making at a given time. Vanilla, pepper etc.
