They've had this for a long time. Used to be 21.95 a long time ago when I would go.

I will be there for dinner tonite!! excellent...

Good thing I live in an area with great, traditional sushiyas. It would suck to depend on an outfit like Benihana for sushi.

It's better than Todai buffet quality.

Which sadly is not saying much...

OMG Todai is frightening!

I went to the one in Waikiki once as some friends really wanted to go. You would have thought were eating sushi in Kansas and not 200 yards from the ocean!

I never trust "all you can eat" sushi, and avoid it like the plague. I'd rather have less of good stuff than a lot of shwag. But to each their own, I suppose.

(OTOH, I might go for it right now as I'm enjoying a period of poverty and I'm loading up on protein for ski season...)

Depends entirely on the Todai location, they apparently vary wildly. The one in the Woodland Hills (San Fernando Valley, LAX) is consistantly darn good. San Diego Mission Valley is only so-so. The one in San Jose was ruddy awful.

Of course, YMMV...

While generally true, this place is amazing:

Made to order. Fresh. Creative stuff and traditional stuff, all done beautifully

There is apparently something of a sushi war in Reno (of all places) and there is some excellent sushi to be had there.

This is one of the greatest deals out there. I lived off this special at the Georgetown location for a couple years. Back then, it was $25 and covered everything on the menu - but they kept cutting back and enforcing new rules.

The sushi is made to order fresh, and thus leaps ahead of any buffet. From the ad, it appears the deal is only valid on weekdays now, which is a shame.

The ad doesn't offer details on what's covered - is it any sushi and roll, or 'select' sushi/rolls? Is sashimi included? Any other restrictions?

Has anyone been to one near LAX recently Torrance or Santa Monica for the endless sushi??

Is this still a current promo? If it is, then I think Mr. Kipper is going to be a very happy camper soon. :)
