You guys are lucky; I was offered 2,500 and the rep was pretty "stoic"; I took the offer.

If you don't value 10,000 Club Rewards points at greater than $95, I'm not too surprised you were ready to cancel!

I took the 2,000 points per month, for 6 months. Also had the $95.00 offer.
I looked back and my spending was about $45,000.00 last year.

For six months or five months? For six months that would be better than what most others have reported.

Just talked to them today, they offered me a $95 statement credit but I asked for points instead and they gave me 7,500. (I have a primary and additional card on my account and typically charge about $1,000 per month but had one month at $20,000+ this year).

Lost my citi awards - help?

Do you think the number you called would be able to help me recover all the rewards I have lost with 25 years of Citi mC?

TIA

Got the $95 or 2,000/month * 5 month offer. Took the points, obviously.

Thanks OP for the phone number.

I was just offered 2000 pts for 5 months OR a lump sum of 7500 pts on my next statement. No cash offer. Since I am not in a great need for the points I took the 2000 x 5.

I just called today and was offered 10000 points (2000 per month for 5 months), which I accepted. In past years I was offered $95 credit, but that wasn't in the cards this time.

I called and spoke to a very pleasant retention rep on WED. Was offered the $300 DC Carte Blanche annual fee waived for another year. They thanked me for 10 years of membership and acknowledged my high spend during certain parts of the year.

The balance of positives still outweigh the negatives for DC -- at least for another year. A big reason for that is the knowledge and efficient customer service reps, who still answer the call within 1 or 2 rings and don't force you through a hellish VRU/telephony system.

$95

I just called and got $95 credit with no hassle at all. I probably would have preferred the points but saw no reason to push my luck.

I probably spent $40 - $50,000 this year.

Was just offered 2,500 points or a $19 credit towards the yearly fee. What a joke! Will wait a couple of days and then try with another agent.

What an idiot I was.... Post tenebras lux !!!

I need to thank you all for this thread, I am renewing every year without a second thought, not thinking one second I could get a few points out of it. Will try my luck in the second. I used to spend about 3-5k a month on my DC but never got a thank you, let alone additional points for renewing. It seems I was an idiot.... Thanks again
