[US] Consumer Diners Club benefits changes (as of 10/1/2019)

I just got my statement today and it mentions there'll be some changes to the available benefits as of October 1st.

New benefits being added:
Cellular Wireless Telephone Protection
Postmates discount ($5 off of $25+ orders)

Existing benefits being enhanced:
ID theft protection is getting:
  • New single bureau credit monitoring at TransUnion
  • New financial account takeover monitoring
  • New URL and Domain Monitoring
  • Improved design and usability of the online monitoring dashboard
  • Improved identity monitoring with more data elements
  • White glove service: Access to a team of identity theft resolution specialists, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help resolve cardmembers' identity theft incidents and prevent further damage
Benefits going away:
Hotel/Motel Burglary
Worldwide Automatic Travel Accident & Baggage Delay
Price Protection
Concierge Services

Current Guide to Benefits for the Premier card is available here and will be updated with the new one on 10/1.

BTW, I don't know if these changes apply to the Elite version as well. I suspect they do, however.

If primary rental car coverage is gone, this card will be gone also. Only reason I keep it is the rental car coverage and the points to miles on BA. But I can get that transfer from other cards as well. I don't need the new benefits or the benefits going away.

It doesn't look like CDW is changing, at least for now.

I wonder if this means we might see them open up new applications again?

I wouldn't read much into it. It looks like it's related to MC's general benefits changes mentioned elsewhere.

I just just got my DC Professional card statement this week and it has no mention of change of benefits at all. And I double checked my previous months statement and no mention there either.

To be specific, MC World and World Elite general benefits changes.

The DC Professional card is not a World or World Elite product. I'm not clear on how a Professional card fits into the MC world. I have had a World MC Business [AA] card from Citi before, so World is not purely a personal card product.
