New "Enhancement": No more "Priority Tags" for luggage for PM's

Received a postcard from Delta informing me that they would no longer provide me with the flimsy yellow "priority tags" for PM's, but instead had "enhanced" their system so that it would be printed on the luggage tag for flights over 6 hours.

To my knowledge, that has been existence for years (printing "priority" on the side of the luggage tag) - and so it is hard to imagine it will make any difference.

I guess Delta is now down to collecting scraps of plastic and paper to save money, which may be OK as I think the consensus from past discussion of this by-and-large concluded that the yellow tags did nothing to "Prioritize" getting your luggage.

What was not said, but which I would expect, is that they do away with the "priority" tag they embed in the luggage tag when checking in in BE.
