New BE seats on the 764- how are they?

I didnt realize that DL was putting Thompson seats on the 764 in BE. i thought they were going to use the same ones from the 777LR.

they look pretty cool. especially the window seats. im in 4A for my next flight.

in typical DL fashion, however, the seat itself looks very narrow. especially when in flat mode. has anybody tried these new seats?

are all the 764's equipped with them? it seems like they're only offered on LHR routes.

also, im on a 752 from SLC to ATL with only four rows. is that the one with BE seats also?

thanks for the info.

Hi,

As far as i know these seats are only on the LHR routes. I would be very interested in know what routes they would be on next and if DL really intends to convert the other aircraft.

I have flown in the new seats twice and this is my take:

They are very narrow, there is absolutely no storage space, the tray table is extremely small, cabin ambiance= zilch, BUT THEY LIE FLAT.

I did sleep well and am thankful for it.

Take the odd numbered window seats, as they are closer to the window and you have the wide armrest as a buffer against the carts and aisle traffic.

that is EXACTLY what i wanted to know. Thank you so much.

I couldnt figure out which window seats would have the armrest on the aisle side. those seats seem wonderful, except that the seat does look really narrow. on the DL youtube video it seems as if a normal sized woman can barely fit shoulder width while laying flat.

I liked the new seats alot on the 764s, but then I don't sleep on my back.

I dont either, so im sure ill be fine. i like the width issue for sitting. im very figittey (however the heck you spell that word) and like lots of space. that what seems so gret about the huge armrest.

compared to CO's 764's, DL is getting 5 additional seats up there, with all lie flat. CO's seats are great for width, but i think id go with the DL 764 product over CO's, especially now that DL has lots of single seats.

I flew on a 767-400ER from DTW to ATL Sept. 14th. It was an equiptment change, as the original plane was a 757. I suspect it was due to a positioning of the 767 for a Transatlantic flight. I was greatly impressed by the new seats. Going even further, I will say they are the best seats I have ever flown in. (Haven't flown the 777 up front) If I had a choice of the 767-400LR or the A330 or 747-400 to my usual SE Asia destination, I would choose the 767-400ER every time. Dave
