Not surprising since Aegean is going to Star.

This will hopefully (for Olympic) add international feed to their domestic routes as they have suspended all long haul flights.

I hope miles redemption will also be possible to the Greek islands and Larnaca, Cyprus via Olympic Airlines.
This would save quite a lot of money of those wanting to go to the islands. (Although Larnaca has been possible so far via AZ). |
OA's website says their frequenty flyer program will terminate on September 30, 2009. All miles must be USED by then to book tickets or you lose them. Wow.
I heard CSA (OK) has stopped all long-haul flights except maybe PRG-JFK (all others are gone). Never heard OA did as well. -RM |

It's official news releases from DL will begin new codesharing with Olympic Air out of ATH. So it will be very successful for DL is joins new SkyMiles partnership & OA will able joins into SkyTeam alliance membership in the future. It would be great to hear more new codeshare expansion from ATH will continuation ongoing to European. Regards |
Fantastic! Skyteam gets another lousy carrier to join (even if its not immediate), reinforcing its position as the worst airline alliance.
